Applying for a position in the Fortier Lab
The Fortier Lab is always interested in highly motivated and dynamic people who would like to join our group to pursue:
- Undergraduate trainings
- COOP or summer terms
- Research credits
- Honours program
- Students from Bishop’s University are welcome!
- Graduate studies in microbiology (MSc or PhD)
- Postdoc
Candidates with a strong interest in our research projects and with a relevant academic background and past experience will be given a priority, but any relevant candidacy will be considered.
Although openings depend on funding availability, candidates with excellent academic profiles will be eligible to apply for graduate scholarships from the faculty of medicine and health sciences (MSc: 35,000$ for 2 years; PhD: 57,000$ for 3 years). Application deadlines are generally in early September and early March.
Note that in any case, graduate students will earn an annual stipend of 20,000$/year at the MSc level and 23,000$/year at the PhD level.
